 | Prospective applicants attend an orientation where the program is discussed and applications are distributed |
 | Staff reviews financial documents to ensure eligibility requirements are met |
 | Family Selection Committee reviews
all applications that meet basic eligibility
requirements and ranks them according to need |

Family Selection Committee members interview
applicants with most need at home |
 | Families who are determined to be most eligible are invited to meet with the Family Selection Committee |
 | Committee-approved applicants are presented to volunteer Board of Directors for approval |
 |
All applicants are notified of final decisions
within 30 days of application deadline |

to provide information throughout the process |

Family members begin putting in sweat equity
hours on other Habitat homes |

Family begins saving for closing costs |
 |
Family is notified of future home site and
selects color and finish options for home |

Family begins to work on their own home |
 | Family purchases home
once sweat equity and savings requirement has
been met and home is complete |
