The Young Americans Project |

Meet the foursome behind The Young Americans Project on the Habitat for Humanity Jobsite.

October 21, 2005 - On Saturday, October 22, 2005, members of The Young Americans Project will lend a helping hand on another Habitat for Humanity home in Melody Ranch.

For three months this fall, The Young Americans Project is traversing the country in an RV, stopping along the way in cities, suburbs, and small towns to profile intriguing peers, that is, Americans between the ages of 18 to 25. They will document their travels by writing a nonfiction book, taking photographs, recording video footage for a documentary, and posting updates on a website (www.theyoungamericansproject.com). They will be asking questions to learn about the way young people view their world – what their hopes are for America, for their community, and for themselves.

Calling all Young Americans! Come down to the jobsite, located at 786 West Morgan Lane in Melody Ranch, between 9:00 am and 4:30 pm on Saturday for a day of service that may be recorded forever in a book and a documentary! For directions or questions, visit www.tetonhabitat.org or call 734-0828.

Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Teton Area builds basic homes and sells them at cost with a no-interest loan to low-income families. Homeowners are chosen based on their need for housing, their ability to make a mortgage payment, and their willingness to invest 500 hours of sweat equity into the construction of their home. Habitat homes are built primarily by volunteers and with the support of local donors. For more information, visit www.tetonhabitat.org.
