Habitat to Host Volunteer Orientation
|
| |
February 23, 2007 - Jackson Hole, Wyoming –
Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Teton Area
will be hosting an information session and
volunteer orientation on Tuesday, March 6, 2007
at 6:00 p.m. at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore
(next to Chinatown).
Come learn about your local Habitat for Humanity
affiliate and how we serve the
community. Also discover the many ways to help
out – from pounding nails at the construction
site to helping customers in the ReStore, helping out
in the office, or serving on one of our many
committees.
Food and refreshments will be provided for all
who attend.
Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Teton Area
builds simple, decent homes and sells them at
cost with a no-interest loan to low-income
families. Homeowners are chosen based on their
need for housing, their ability to make a
mortgage payment, and their willingness to
invest 500 hours of ‘sweat equity’ into the
construction of their home. Habitat homes are
built primarily by volunteers and with the
support of local donors.
For more information or to RSVP to the
orientation, please call Carin Cusick at
734-0828 ext. 5 or email
carin@tetonhabitat.org.
