May 18, 2007 - Jackson Hole, Wyoming – Youth of
Jackson are invited to get together for an
evening of fun while learning about how to
become a part of the Habitat for Humanity Youth
Blitz Build.
On Sunday, May 20, 2007, Jackson Hole Youth
Alliance and Habitat for Humanity Youth Blitz
Build will be hosting a kick-off party at St.
John’s Fellowship Hall from 6-7:30pm. Enjoy food
off the grill, outdoor games, and the company of
other Jackson youth.
This event will be a chance for the youth of
Jackson Hole to learn more about Habitat for
Humanity, how to become involved with the Youth
Blitz Build, and the significance in making a
positive difference in their community.
Habitat for Humanity builds homes with those in
need in Teton County. Homes are built by
volunteers and are then sold to pre-selected
partner families with a no-interest, no-profit
mortgage to ensure low monthly payments.
Homeowners are required to contribute 500 hours
of their own “sweat equity” on their home before
they are allowed to move in. Habitat also runs
the Habitat for Humanity ReStore, which sells
used and surplus building supplies, to help fund
the building of Habitat homes.
To find more out about this event please contact
Barbee at 690-5545.
