Habitat for Humanity Youth Blitz Build
July 5, 2007 – Jackson Hole, Wyoming – Habitat
for Humanity will be hosting a Youth Blitz Build
July 9-13. The Youth Blitz Build is a chance for
area youth to join together with Habitat for
Humanity to make a difference in the community
by building decent affordable homes for those in
need.
“This is a great opportunity for youth in
Jackson to get involved with Habitat for
Humanity while learning home building skills”,
said Trace Wright, construction manager.
Currently, Habitat for Humanity has two
construction sites in Melody Ranch Subdivision
on the corner of Melody Ranch Drive and Morgan
Lane. Jackson Hole area youth will be building
on the jobsites in Melody Ranch from 9am-4pm
each day. We still have many spots available for
youth to sign-up and be a part of this great
event.
For more information or to get involved, please
call 734-0828, visit the Habitat for Humanity
ReStore or visit us on the web at
www.tetonhabitat.org.
Habitat for Humanity builds homes with those in
need in Teton County. Homes are built by
volunteers and are then sold to pre-selected
partner families with a no-interest, no-profit
mortgage to ensure low monthly payments.
Homeowners are required to contribute 500 hours
of their own “sweat equity” on their home before
they are allowed to move in. Habitat also runs
the Habitat for Humanity ReStore, which sells
used and surplus building supplies, to help fund
the building of Habitat homes.
