Habitat for Humanity to Host First Annual Framing a Future: Adventure Auction to Build a Home |

JACKSON, Wyoming - January 10, 2004 - Put away your Carhartts and tool belts, get out your dresses and ties. Let’s get together to build a home without hammers!

On Saturday, February 5, 2005, Habitat for Humanity will host Framing a Future, Adventure Auction to Build a Home, at Walk Festival Hall. Doors will open at 6:30 pm, a dinner that celebrates Habitat for Humanity’s international presence will begin at 7:00 pm and an exciting live auction of adventures will follow at 8:00 pm.

This year’s auction will showcase a wide variety of activity packages for singles, couples and groups. Packages will include a personalized snowshoe tour through Grand Teton National Park, gourmet dinner prepared for you and your guests, a “Honey-Do” package (a variety of plumbing, electric, repairs and flooring services) and a performance by Jackson’s own improve troop, Out of Thin Air.

Entry to Framing a Future is $50 per person, and should be purchased through Seadar Dodson, Committee Chairperson. Dinner will be served and a cash bar will be available. Every dollar raised will go toward the construction of our ninth house in Jackson, which will be named the “Framing a Future Home.” Please join us for this landmark opportunity to become a part of a family’s future!

Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit housing organization that helps people build their own homes and sells them at no interest and no profit. The homes are built in partnership with the homeowners, who must spend at least 500 hours working on their homes, along with volunteers from the community. All Habitat homes built in Teton County are deed restricted.
