Deconstruction is the hand dismantling and salvaging of reusable materials from homes and buildings that are in the process of remodel or demolition.
The Habitat reStore offers a full and free deconstruction service as an alternative to traditional ‘wrecking ball’ demolition. A trained and insured crew of Restore volunteers are on hand to recover all salvagable building materials and items for reuse and resale in the ReStore.
The ReStore team will come to your building and conduct an initial site evaluation. they will let you know what we can safely salvage and set a date. You are always welcome to join in the deconstruction, but your presence is not required. We’ll remove all reusable items and leave the premises in a tidy, accessible and safe condition.
Donors incur no cost for this service, avoid expensive landfill fees and all items are tax deductible. Your donation helps us build affordable homes, creates economical home improvemnts for others and you reduce, reuse and recycle!
Please call the ReStore at (307) 734-0389 for more information or to schedule a deconstruction.
