Crew Leader

Want to be a Construction Site Crew Leader?

Habitat is offering a special training for volunteers interested in gaining construction skills and leadership experience by becoming a Crew Leader.

A Habitat Crew Leader can lead a group of at least three volunteers through a specific aspect of construction, such as framing, roofing, insulation, sheetrock, or finish carpentry.  No experience is necessary – Crew Leader candidates will receive training on each topic, as well as coaching on teaching and managing volunteers, through one classroom session followed by hands on training.  Crew Leaders will assist the Construction Manager at the jobsite on Saturdays (as available) by supervising a group of unskilled volunteers in their area of expertise.  Crew Leaders status will be granted once the Construction Manager determines that the candidate can safely and effectively lead volunteers.  Crew Leaders will work alongside other Crew Leaders and Habitat staff and will earn a “Crew Leader” shirt that make Crew Leaders easily identifiable on the jobsite.  Those who particiate in and pass all of the Crew Leader training sessions will earn Site Supervisor status.

Interested volunteers should email volunteer@tetonhabitat.org, call Amanda at 307-734-0828, or fill out the form below.
